Competencies & Philosophy

LUMI­LOO­P’s key com­pe­tence is the opti­cal sup­ply of sen­sor sys­tems using Lasers in com­bi­na­ti­on with a pro­prie­ta­ry pack­a­ging tech­no­lo­gy and power regu­la­ti­on method. LUMILOOP com­bi­nes this Power-over-Fiber (PoF) tech­no­lo­gy with sta­te-of-the-art low power elec­tro­nics to design and manu­fac­tu­re high per­for­mance elec­tro­nic mea­su­re­ment devices which can be app­lied in the field of Elec­tro­ma­gne­tic Com­pa­ti­bi­li­ty (EMC) as well as other RF applications.

By com­bi­ning LUMI­LOO­P’s E‑field pro­bes and RF power meters users can speed-up EMC cham­ber vali­da­ti­on by a fac­tor of more than 100 and ther­eby redu­ce down-time signi­fi­cant­ly. LUMI­LOO­P’s pro­ducts can also be used to cha­rac­te­ri­ze and vali­da­te rever­be­ra­ti­on cham­bers at high speed. 

All of LUMI­LOO­P’s pro­ducts are defi­ned by soft­ware to a lar­ge extend. Con­ti­nu­al soft­ware updates for LSPro­be and LSPM are pro­vi­ded regu­lar­ly, impro­ving per­for­mance and adding new features.

2021
LSPro­be 2.0

LUMILOOP intro­du­ced the LSPro­be 2.0, an E‑field pro­be with a fre­quen­cy ran­ge up to 18 GHz.
The LSPro­be 2.0 fea­tures six mono­po­le anten­nas for impro­ved isotropy.

2018
LSPM 1.0

In 2018 the high speed RF power meter LSPM 1.0 has been intro­du­ced to com­ple­ment the LSPro­be 1.2.

2016
First Pro­duct

LUMILOOP intro­du­ces its first pro­duct, the high-speed, laser-powe­red electric field pro­be LSPro­be 1.2. The pro­duct offers unri­va­led mea­su­re­ment speed, inclu­ding sup­port for wave­form record­ing, fre­quen­cy sweeps, and sta­tis­ti­cal analysis.

2015
Foun­da­ti­on

Foun­da­ti­on of LUMILOOP GmbH as a spin-off com­pa­ny of TU Dres­den (Dres­den Uni­ver­si­ty of Tech­no­lo­gy). The foun­ders of LUMILOOP were mem­bers of the power laser working group at the elec­tro­nics pack­a­ging lab, a pro­fes­sor­s­hip of the facul­ty for electri­cal engi­nee­ring and infor­ma­ti­on technology.
